How much cream is in your raw milk?

Mine has almost 1/3 of the bottle filled with cream this week Over the winter there was a lot less though - maybe half that amount. I just tried a different raw milk source a few weeks ago that didn't have nearly the same cream content to their milk. That and it tasted like the barn floor so I cultured almost all of it into yogurt. So, how much cream is in your "typical" faw milk bottle?

Over the winter, I've noticed at least a quart of each gallon is cream. I'm sure it will pick up once we've turned the cows out onto the new spring grass. I can't wait for that! Shouldn't be too much longer; need to wait for this nasty cold spell to pass, and the grass to green up.

I used half gallon masson jars and get about 2 inches on the top...not much but the farm I use also doesn't have many Jerseys...the best cream producers...but it's my only source so I take what I can get!

Usually from 1/5 to 1/3 of the container. It's been on the lesser end towards the end of the winter, but I'm looking forward to it getting creamier again!

Maybe about 1/5 of the gallon jar? I think I skimmed about 1.5-2 cups today. I'll have to ask what kind of cow it's coming from (it's illegal and very hard to find here so I'm not too picky )

With my new supplier, I'm lucky to get 1/5 to 1/4 of the container. Also, when I freeze it the milk portion is practically translucent! I thought Organic Pastures was low-fat as it is, but it seems my new milk has less. However, hopefully things will change now that it's spring.

The farm I use has all Jerseys. Usually its 1/3 cream but sometimes its 1/2 cream. I recently bought some Golden Fleece farms raw milk out of curiosity to compare it to my current source and it had very little cream. Their herd is all Holsteins and not grass fed. I gave the GF milk to my dog.

I got a gallon of raw milk from a local dairy once and it was like 1/2 cream (it was in September, I think, if that makes a difference). I think they're Jersey cows. I don't eat dairy anymore, though.

My goats give about 4 ounces of cream per quart of milk. They're Alpine-Oberhasli-Toggenburgs.

I just bought raw milk for the first time, and I got about 2 cups of cream out of a gallon. I probably could have gotten a little more, though. What skimming method do you all use?
