Won't Sleep w/ us, won't sleep w/out us!!

My DD is 21 months and has been sleeping in her own bed since 18 months. Things had been going well, until a recent illness and now she won't stay asleep unless I am sitting on the edge of her bed. She won't allow me to lie down with her and she will not sleep in our bed. She does not have a problem falling asleep initially or taking a nap on her own, but after about 3 hours she wakes up and can't stay asleep in her room alone. We are ALL super tired. Any ideas.

How about her own bed but in your room? We have our mattresses on the floor and DD's mattress is next to ours. She has her own space (which she likes), but she's not alone when she wakes up.
