Well it wasn't 20 minutes .... (x-posted)

but I got my uc after all.

I don't have a lot of time to write out my birth story just yet, but here's the short version. I started having contractions around noon yesterday. Typical ... been happening for weeks. Only this time they got stronger and closer together all afternoon, until I finally had to admit that I was in labor. I tried what I knew to try to stop contractions -- after all, we were supposed to have a c/s on Wednesday due to a transverse/oblique baby. Only it was VERY obvious during contractions that she wasn't transverse or oblique anymore ... she was straight up & down. Interesting. So we decided to labor at home for a while and just see what happened. My water broke a couple hours later, dh checked me to see if there was a cord, and felt something hard -- right there. Next thing I know, I'm pushing. About 10 minutes & 3 pushes later, our 10 lb. baby girl was born head-first into her daddy's hands at 8:10PM. We're both doing great.

I have no idea what I'm going to tell the ob -- I have an appointment scheduled with her tomorrow. :

Congratulations!

That's awesome.

I would leave the babe in the waiting room with DH, and tell the OB something "doesn't feel right" with your abdomen--emptier "or something". Only if he/she has a good sense of humour .

I am so freaking happy for you I would be jumping up and down except my tummy hurts and I would probably pee my pants! I would probably just show up with the baby (and a camera) and let them put two and two together! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!
