what age for siblings to share a bed?

When would a child be old enough to safely share a bed with a sibling? 12 months, 18 months, older? DD is currently 9 months and DS is 2.5 years so I know I have a while longer, but just wanted to get an idea what other people did.

we leave dd (8 months) and ds (22 months) alone in our bed sometimes. if they both slept in another bed in our room i would be ok with it.

We moved my son into his sister's bed when she was 2.5 and he was 10 months. It was very easy, he slept better away from mama, and surprisingly, the older one could sleep through his nighttime cries, and wakings. It was so easy and better for everyone.
