The Birth Project, a print 'zine from Michigan with both regional and national distribution seeks submissions of pregnancy and birth related art, photography, poetry, and writing. Written submissions should be less than 1500 words. Payment is in copies and eternal gratitude. Contributors retain rightst to their work. Submissions can be sent to submissions@thebirthproject.com
We are looking for work that is touching, thoughtful, and occasionally funny. Birth stories are welcome. We also are open to stories about birth as a metaphor -- birth of a new parent, birth of a new identity, etc.
The best way to get what we are about is to read the 'zine. Free copies are available at thebirthproject.com. If you feel so inclined, you can subscribe there too.
