Any of you live in the Sacramento area? - Page 2

Too bad concert in the park hasn't started yet that would be a perfect place to meet. We could meet at a park and have a bbq or I could host at my house although I have to warn that I have a pool so that might be a problem. We could always bbq in the front yard to keep the kids out of the back yard. I have lots of space

Let me know what you think

So I'm guessing it's just co-op mama and me? If so, co-op mama, we can meet at the park, if you like.

No its me too, but my husband will have to come with-is that
a problem?
No it's not a problem We can meet at the park Land Park it has a really nice play structure the older kids might get a little bored but if they have each other to play with they should be ok.

I open to meet at another park that's closer to either of you. I will drive.

Do we want to have food or just meet to talk and let the kids play?

thinking out loud...4/27 is friday, we are usually at Royer Park in Roseville on fridays from 11-1ish...it has great play structures for the kids...

where are you all planning to meet? and what time? i will see if we can be there...

peace...

Hmm... Land Park... we might show up. I was kind of assuming I wouldn't be able to go to anything in Sacramento since I don't drive, but I have to go to Sac City within the next two weeks for some paperwork anyways, so perhaps Friday will be a good time to do that

I assumed we'd have it in the evening, as Jen works and Briseis is bringing her husband. What about you two? That was part of the reason I offered up my house. If it's nice meaning no rain the park will work and if we want to do food we can BBQ

Eveningish works for me (assuming I can make it at all - I haven't discussed it with my husband yet, but I don't really see why it would be a problem). The office is apparently open till 5, so I can do what I need to later in the day. My husband may or may not be there, but I expect I can talk him into at least coming to pick us up. Monkeygrrl, Leif will love it if your 4 year old is there

Pman was asking at the last park that we went to in Davis (we got there late, so didnt see anyone) if Leif was going to be there...i am sure he will be glad to see him...

are you planning on going to park on thursday? we will be there...

peace...

We wimped out on Chestnut Park early because of the weather. We probably won't be there this Thursday - I watch my housemate's daughter on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, so normally only make it to Chestnut Park and Rainbow City since they're both a relatively quick trip. I may go for it if someone else is home to watch her, though. I'll give you an email if it seems likely.

So..

Land Park if it's pretty and take over co-op mama's house if it's not ? :-)

Does 5:30 or 6 work for everyone? Oh, are we all bringing food to share or just feeding ourselves?

That sounds good to me. I like the idea of a potluck but not sure if there are issues with food allergies etc.

We could do BBQ with a salad and some fruit for the kids? Drinks ? Let me know

Maybe for the first time get together we should just bring our own food for our families. That might make things easier so we can just visit and get to know each other.

Yeah, i think that would be best overall.

I dont know whom is vegetarian and whom is omnivore and
what people's tastes are.

I think its a good idea to bring for ourselves.

I'm near Sac, too (Carmichael near Winding Way and Dewey). We believe in the AP philosophy for the most part, but we don't breastfeed (adoption). If you are in Fair Oaks, have you ever had lunch at the Sunflower Drive-In in Old Fair Oaks? I believe it's vegan and the Nut Burger is to DIE for!!!! There is also a park right next to the restaurant and that would be a great place to pick up lunch and walk over to the park with the kids. They have wild chickens running everywhere, too. It's fun to sit and just watch them roam around.

I have 3 girls - 2.5, 1.5, and 4 mo. I'd love to meet some of you for a play date, too!

I love Sunflower drive in!!! That would be a great park to get together at. Maybe the week after this we could do that.

Let's meet at 6:00 if that's ok. Traffic on Friday's can be killer so maybe a little more time to get to Land Park would be good.
