Finding a dr.

I just left the military and had my first little one. My DH and I are moving and we need to find a family dr. What do you ask in an interview. we are not vaxing our lo but she had a rough start to life and we need to have a dr for the family. I have never looked for a dr before so I need to know what to ask and how to ask it. I am totally in the dark here please help!

Oh yeah we are moving to Cedar Rapids IA if that helps (If someone lives there and knows a good dr!)

When you call up ask that the doctor call you back when he has a chance. Then ask him if he would accept a new patient and tell him you don't vaccinate your child out of 'religious' reasons. That should put a stop to questioning before it starts.

Should s/he ask what religion, tell him you don't want to discuss that.

The reason I am telling you to talk to the doc is because the nurses often times just make the decision for the doc.
