Does anyone with more than 1 child notice their Braxton Hicks contractions are stronger and even painful with subsequent pregnancies? This is my 4th pregnancy, the last one ended in a miscarriage at 7 weeks, but I am noticing my contractions are very strong. I really need to stop and breathe through them. I remember with my son's delivery, 2nd child, the after pains were really strong as well. I'm just wondering if I'm more sensitive now or if things really do get more painful with the more kids you have.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

This is my fourth, too! I don't notice a difference in the strength of the BH ctx since my first, but I do notice more cervical pressure and twinges during them. The contractions with my first child were as close to painless as I can imagine- I describe it as requiring all my concentration, hard work, etc, but not really painful. My second labor was incredibly painful and I almost passed out! And the last one was super hard and fast and intense, and I felt like I couldn't breathe but it was the intensity i remember, not pain.
Not sure if that helps...I just think they're all different.

this is my 8th pregnancy, (mc,ds,ds,dd,mc,mc,dd,??) i noticed after the 2consecutive miscarriages, the next pregnancy it seems the contractions were more intense and they seem to be this time as well, having to breath a little during many of them, they also seem to fall into "maybe labor??" patterns and for significant amounts of time(3-9hrs) but I do question myself wondering if it might just be that i'm more sensitive, knowing what i'm feeling and also worrying about going early after 2miscarriages, that maybe i'm being over sensitive. I"m not sure to be honest, but i think that my uterus after practicing so many times that it sorta wants to get down to business so i think they are stronger these last couple times.
I DO know when pitocin was started with #7, it was a very very low dose and i almost instantly jumped into contractions every 2mins, lasting about 1 1/2 - 2 min and VERY intense, i wasnt really getting any time between so it had to be turned down. I have no idea if theres a connection there fro sure but it seems like it must be.
