Another Apex seat question

We bought the Alpha Apex and it does cut into her thighs a little, but that is not my question- Does anyone know the height limit on it? My dd is shaped like me with a longer torso and shorter legs. With that in mind she is 37lbs and I think she was 39", but her shoulders when she sits up straight are just barely above the last slot on the seat. Does this make sense? Should I take it back or sell it for a different one? :

There are 4 sets of slots, one is under the headrest, you have to lift it up. If you take out the padding, it adds some height too. She can use the straps till she's 65# OR her shoulders over that 4th set of slots.

Thanks, I must have missed seeing that set because she is on the third now. Good, then I will keep it. She likes it anyway.
