The backs of the men who choose to speak out. In case you haven't noticed, they are regularly derided and mocked by defensive circers.

There's a saying that "well-behaved women seldom make history."

Similarly, well-behaved intactivists seldom save babies. You gotta force the envelope of what is "polite."

I agree that men need to speak up, as well.

But mamas need to find the mama bear within themselves and protect their baby boys! (See my signature)

Well, I am not about to wear an inactivist T-shirt or put a bumper sticker on the car for the simple reason that DW would call me a wierdo and worse. It would be ugly. She just does not "get it" - I mean about how I feel about this barbaric custom and how angry and disappointed I am that my mother chose to mutilate me. Her attitude is basicaly "What is done is history - get over it".
On the other hand, I do take every opportunity to talk to people about this barbaric custom. So far all the male children in both sides of the family are intact. Yay !!!! Also I do not personaly know of any friends with circ'd boys. But I find that even talking to those who are "on side" helps to reinforce their "non decision". I have yet to be ridiculed for my views, although there has been the odd person who "agreed to disagree" IYKWIM.
To the original poster - "GOOD IDEA" !!!!

Trust me, I do when the opening is available. The " " were used because it's not a topic frequently brought up by others, not because I believe it's impolite. Specifically, those of child-bearing age do not often talk babies with a childless, middle-age male.

It ultimately comes down to the mama b/c she signs the consent form.

I could see how it might seem a little weird to bring it up for you... but I have to say that the reason I don't talk babies with middle-age men (whether they've had children or not) is because I assume that they don't really want to hear about it. My own dad doesn't even really want to hear about all the "mom stuff" that I want to talk about so why would I talk to someone who isn't the grandfather about it?

Dh even gets tired of hearing my "mom shpiel" after a while... and he's the baby's father!

love and peace.
