help me help dh please

I'm going to check out some of those homeschool books in the thread just posted about starting homeschool, but dh is not going to read it. I'm getting it more for me. I'm all for homeschool but need some help with dh. Ds is only 25m, so we have time of course, and he's never mentioned putting ds in preschool-he doesn't believe in it. Says toddlers should be home and play/learn there. With homeschool it goes both ways. One day he'll be telling our fam/friends we're prob going to hs the first few years, but then the next he talks about when ds starts school.
So I'm looking for some links maybe or some short study comparisons of hs vs public school, and more specifically Florida schooling systems. Not sure who here is in Fl, but the whole school system seems well, not right (& not to offend anyone who does ps here) and I know hs is growing because of the public schools. I don't know about the private though. Can someone please help me or point me into the right direction. Dh is a fact man basically and that's what he needs to see to decide sometimes.

I think you reading the books and then what you have read will come up in the course of conversations will be of big help to your dh.

Where is Florida are you? The BIG conference is coming up next month. It might help him if he can see all the stuff that is available for homeschoolers.

Keep in mind that you have time to let the ideas sink in...
your dh may just need a little time to see it as clearly as you do.

My DH was a lot like yours and now he's the biggest fan of homeschooling. Give it time and he should come around . It's sometimes hard to envision such a small one having to go away to school. Just live as though you are going to homeschool and find out the real reasons why he thinks your child should go to public school.

I'm finding I really want to explore the possibility of homeschooling too(DD's only 9 months) but DD is dead set on private school.

just keep nudging him in the right direction my DH took a while to come around, we started the discussions when out first was just a baby. But now he is completely on board with it. So much so that when I brought up possibly sending out middle guy (he has classic type autism) he was really against it and thought he would do better at home

So he will most likely come around, maybe more than you want him to , if you just keep talking to him about the benefits of it.

Where's the conferance at? Is there a link? I'll try to google it and find it. I was also wondering if there is a homeschool magazine? If those are laying around, dh will definately flip through it.

I found it-everything is always in Orlando. Dh only has off on Sunday so that's no good for us
