So, my ds 7 yo newest thing, he has always always always got his hands in his pants... and no, not just in there, keeping warm, kwim? ugg, I have tried to let him know that we do things like that in private, in our rooms, we can learn about our bodies by ourselves, that mommy or his brothers really do not want or need to see it. And it isnt sometimes, it is ALWAYS,lol. He is my spirited compulsive child, and everything I say is forgotten 2 seconds later, not exagerating. I know it is not a huge proble, we homeschool now, so its not like he is around a hundred people doing it,lol. And I know he will stop soon, my older boy did. Oh, the beauty of boys being boys

I have 3 boys, my 6yr old always has his hands down his pants too. The other night we all went to dinner and as we're walking through the restaurant to get to our table, I notice he's walking with both hands shoved down his pants. : Aren't boys fun?

So glad to read this - my son (5.5) is always *adjusting* himself. I also say "hands" 1,000 times a day. We've had the "in the privacy of your bedroom" talk but it goes in one ear and out the other. I giggled about the restaurant story - sounds like something I'd be saying.

My kiddo seems to be missing a hand these days for as much as it's disappeared in his pants. I just keep reminding him that he can do whatever he wants with it in his OWN room, which of course comes out (like everythign else I say) sounding like the Charlie Brown teacher's voice. My new mantra seems to be..."hands, hands, hands!!!" Since he's newly out of pull-ups, I'm guessing for him at least that it's just really new and fascinating to have such control and freedom with his penis...but it's really starting to gross me out as much as he seems to need to touch it. I, being painfully sarcastic to a fault, went so far as to tell him that I promised it wasn't going to go anywhere.
But, of course, we see grown men checking to make sure it's still there all the time, too. Uggggh!!!

Oh, my goodness, yes. Hands in the pants. Hubby told me it was normal, but we both say "hands" at least a hundred times a day, it seems like. (DS is six.)

Lol, we haven't gotten to this yet, but I imagine it will be a fruitless battle as I could say the same to hubby a few times a day. (not playing with himself, or down his pants, but adjusting) what is it with guys?
