My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
While many in our DDC are posting birth announcements! I'm still wondering when this baby is going to "drop" like I read in the books... they say "about two weeks before it's born" in first time mamas. How reliable is this?
Honestly, I think dropping can occur any time. You can drop 3 weeks before or 3 hours before. I don't recall any noticable dropping with my daughter, and I am anxiously awaiting the "drop" with this one, particularly because I am experiencing a lot of pain in my cervix and pelvic muscles. I can't walk by a mirror without looking to see if things look a little lower.
Feels like it's going to be never. My mom says I didn't drop until the day I was born. I think I'm due a week before you are Amy and this little one is stubbornly floating as high as it can in there and feels like a big BLOCK. I am not looking forward to birthing a square baby!
Hmmmm ... I have NO idea then. I bet even if the baby HAD dropped, I wouldn't even know it. I have nooo idea what's going on in there. My babe also feels more like a "block" most of the time, except when the occasional limb pops out somewhere. Well I have my first appt. w/the midwife in three weeks this Wednesday (@37 weeks) so hopefully she can shed some light on the situation. Heh.
I think it can happen anytime and it doesn't mean a thing. This one dropped two months ago. It's engaged now and has been at 0 station or even +1 station for a while.
My first never dropped. He probably would have had I been allowed to labor upright and longer but definitely not before labor.
Um, my ds "dropped" at around 7:44 am on 6/28/02...which happens to be the time he was born!
Just kidding...but he probably dropped when my water broke the day before.
This babe is still high and I'm glad. I can't breathe very well, sure, but every once in awhile I get banged in the bladder with a head and I am grateful it isn't there all the time!
With my dd I dropped about 3 weeks before she was born. It was very noticeable to me, I could breath, sleep in a more comfortable position, and most importantly the excruciating pain I had felt from about 12 weeks at the bottom of my left rib was gone.
With this one, I didn't get my hopes up that she would drop but I think she has, the shape of my belly has changed and the rib pain that it seems like I'm going to have to deal with in all my pregnancies is a bit better, still hurts but the sharp knock me on my butt pain has stopped.
