The baby's trying to get out!

I've been complaining about that feeling for weeks. My midwife says it feels that way due to weakened muscles, which is common for second (and third, etc.) pregnancies. Then last night, the baby was pushing downward, on my cervix, it seemed, soooo hard, it felt like bad menstral cramps and like someone was jamming an adult-sized fist downward inside. I couldn't even tell if I was having one of my uncomfortable BH contrax at the same time; I had to keep pushing on my belly to see if it was tight. It continued for some time, to the point where I wondered if I should call my midwife to make sure it was OK to be feeling this pain. The pain wasn't excruciating, just enough to make you groan. Anybody going through this? (I'm almost 39 weeks and the baby dropped several weeks ago)

Yes, I had this all last week. (I am 37 weeks) My doctor told me the same things, it's from having 4 other children in a short time. It does sound like you are very close though. I bet it won't be long now. Get your rest Momma!

Yeah, I've had it. No fun!
I try to tell myself that it's helping. I've noticed that afterwards my uterus actually feels sore to the touch where the pressure has been- it's weird.

Yep, I get that too. I don't remember it last time though but it sure is painful. I swear sometime she is just gonna shove her way out w/ those head butts.

I've had it too. Really uncomfortable. And freaked me out a bit too because of my previous c/s. The baby just loves to push right on my scar.
