What I'd like to know most about this study is this:
Quote:
| His study, published in the American Journal of Physiology, found even adult animals fed a high-fat diet remained slim. |
I'd like to know what the control group was fed. Was the control group fed a lower fat, higher carb diet? Were all rats fed the same thing as adults and the only variable was the infant formula?
I, for one, am not convinced that a high-fat diet is "fattening." I have to wonder if the leptin is really doing anything here, or if this is just a convoluted way of testing which kinds of ADULT diets lead to obesity.
