my midwifes assistant, died in a motorcycle accident on sunday, she was almost done becoming a cpm and had 2 children and was only 30.
i am so sad for her family.

US-I have been so heartbroken the past 2 days, I actually just talked to her on the phone Saturday afternoon and heard her little ones in the background. Its still so unreal to me, I keep expecting to see her at my postpartum visit.

I'm sending all my good thoughts to those little ones!! We are planning to attend the service (when we get details), will you likely?

oh, and there is an effort being made to get her CPM status awarded posthumously. Sounds like it might be a long shot, but I really hope that it happens.
