OK, this is a little uh, icky

so, i've been in prodromal labor for a couple of days. this morning, i awoke to a puddle of clear, odorless fluid trickling out of me. i initially thought it was amniotic fluid, but a pH and fern test indicated it was vaginal secretions. my midiwfe checked me, and believes i am in early labor. has any of this "fluid leaking" occured in any mamas here? this much, uh, wetness is not usual for me, but my MW says that it can happen just before birth.

this baby is trying to come early! i'll be 37w tomorrow, and am having some wonderful, but irregular contractions, am almost completely effaced, but dilated to a mere 2-3 cm. i'm not due 'til may 15, but i have had a feeling for nearly a month now that this babe won't stay in until then.

what's with all the may babies arriving in april anyhow???

I am pretty sure my EDD May 9th baby will come in May.... But I wish he'd come sooner!!!

No idea about the fluid but sound like it is normal but I agree with this part! SO many babies coming now! It's freaking me out!

Sounds like the beginning to me. My best friends water broke and the tests at the hospital said 4 times it was not here water. The MW was CHECKING her when her water broke and went EVERYWHERE. So it WAS here water. Not real sure why the test never confirmed it. She did finally after about 6 hours started contracting and went BACK to the hospital. They felt pretty dumb up there. She ended up with a cs due to complications tho.

Anyway. Fun! I can't wait. ME NEXT! ME NEXT!!

I had the same thing on the 13th! Thought for sure it was amniotic fluid (that's how my preterm labor with ds started; as a trickle that I wasn't even aware what it was), but everything since has been fine.

Btw, my babe's still cooking!
