Gidget was born on April 20th via c-section at 7:48 a.m. She weighed in at 7lbs. 3 oz. and 19 1/2" long.
Everything went well. The staff at the hospital was amazing! Everybody read my birthplan and only 2 things were not honored, due to hospital policy. DH was unable to film the actual surgery, and I couldn't have the baby in recovery with me. Good thing though...I have a bad reaction to morphine and couldn't have nursed her at that time like I wanted. I refused sedatives this time around, so I felt the reaction a heck of a lot more. Last time I was so doped up, I barely remember how bad it was.
At any rate, Gidget is beautiful! She is so perfect in every way
She is nursing well...a LOT more than my son did, though I didn't know that was even possible! She nurses about 30 min on, 30 min off.
Her big brother adores her. He is so good with her. I really look forward to watching their relationship develope.
