Is anyone else seriously annoyed when people describe an intact penis as "uncircumcised" or "uncut?" It drives me nuts. First of all cut/uncut sounds terrible to me...who WANTS to refer to their child as cut or uncut, that just sounds wrong and painful (which circumcision is, but the word cut seems to be a much stronger word than the word circumcised). And uncircumcised...that drives me NUTS. That would assume that a boy is circumcised and then had it undone...and assumes that circumcision is the majority (and even in the states it's no longer the majority).

I use the word cut...
I mainly use it when talking to someone who is pro circ because it sounds harsh...which is the way I want it to sound. I don't want to fluff it up for someone so they feel better about circing their child. I also say "intact" or "whole" penis because I hate the term "uncircumcised".- smeep

I hear "cut" or "uncut" from people who circ most often...as if they don't care that they actually cut their baby.

"Cut" bugs me less than "snipped." It sounds so trivial.
I use "intact."
I use "intact."

Yes, it bothers me a LOT. That said, when I'm posting something where people who circumcise will read it I will post "intact (uncircumcised)" the first time I refer to an intact penis and then keep using intact - just to make sure they know exactly what I mean. Maybe it'll introduce the term into their vocabulary somewhat since I only use the word "uncircumcised" once
It also bothers me when people misspell "circumcised" as "circumsized"
: I'm one of those people who notices typos whether I'm looking for them or not, and most don't really bother me, but that one bugs me big time... like they're saying that they made it bigger or something... I don't know. I think that it just looks too much like super-sized to me
I like to point out the fact that my brain is "un-lobotomized" and my breasts are "un-mastectomized" whenever folks start using "uncircumcised" in my presence. That usually gets them to at least think about what they're saying and how ridiculous it is.
love and peace.

It's a shame when a boy who has not even has had any surgery has to still be labeled like the boy who had the surgery. It would be better just to not label the intact or whole boy with the circumcision category which sometimes I used non-circ in case if pro-circers get confused . There should be no labeling because their nothing to label on a 'whole body' but there is something to label when something is cut off !

You could refer to them as "unmodified", "unbutchered", "unmutilated"...or simply "normal".
