Suave - breastfeeding in ad

Maybe this is here somewhere and I missed it...

Anyone see the new Suave shampoo tv advert with the breastfeeding mama? Just wondering what y'all thought of it...

I thought it was awesome to see a mom BFing on tv. After all you see plenty of moms FFing on TV in nestle good start commercials!

Plus I like the fact that it said something like "women say their breasts are flatter after having a baby" not "after breastfeeding". Because it is pregnancy that really changes your shape, and it's good that they are not perpetuating the myth that breastfeeding does all the changing.

Did that make sense? I'm sleep deprived, lol.

Okay, but after her hair is all full, she is holding the baby and not nursing if I am seeing things correctly. Are we supposed to assume that her boobies will perk back up now that she's not nursing as well?
This commercial makes me grumpy for some reason. :

I think Suave did a great job with the ad. In the first image, the mom is breastfeeding, wearing a white business-y blouse, her hair is flat and she's looking a little frazzled. She's also shown burping baby and soothing baby to sleep (while wearing a nightgown), still looking frazzled and flat-haired. In the last scene, she's wearing a peasant-y blouse, her hair looks full, she looks blissful, AND she's breastfeeding! This is a great ad that portrays breastfeeding as a normal aspect of mothering. I don't watch commercial TV and was glad to see the ad online. Check it out.

From what I saw, she was nursing throughout the commercial, at the end too when her hair was great. I think their idea is that even if you can't fix the boobs, you can fix the hair with Suave. I liked the commercial, I thought the background music was cute/funny with it.

Love it! I've never seen their commercials on TV, but I watched all the ones on the site and they're great. Wish more ads were that uplifting!

Finally we made it to TV!

It's wonderful to FINALLY see a Mom breastfeeding!
Why has it taken so long for something so normal to be shown.

That's great. I've not seen it and with dial up WONT unless it comes out on my tv channels. How GREAT it would feel to see that around here though!!

I just missed it yesterday. I was at work (nursing home) updating a computer in one of the lounge rooms and the tv was on. I looked up just at the end of the commercial.

We never watch tv at home so I couldn't beleive I almost caught it.... I'll check out the website!!

Love it!! she is nursing throughout and she seems to be wearing one of those cut out nursing bras.

I liked it. I think the fact that there is a commercial with breastfeeding in it, for a product unrelated to breastfeeding far outweighs any negatives about the breastfeeding making your boobs flat, which isn't even what they said.

And she was still breastfeeding at the very end of the commercial.

I think it helps to normalize breastfeeding.

Just came on to post about this.
FWIW ~ I actually don't think she was nursing in the last shot, or even meant to look like she was. The others shots were very obvious with the upper part of her chest bare but the last shot when her hair is full again, she seems to be holding the baby against her but that is all . JMhumbleO.


As super great as it was to see nip onscreen, I was left a little hmmmmm about it too.

I thought she was bfing at the end also. Great commercial. The one with the mom coming full circle with 2 kinds and a third pregnancy is total relatable to me too.
