does this sound like an allergy?

My 7 week old daughter has been having mucousy green stools, spitting up a lot (also somewhat mucousy). She spits up after eating, between meals, in her sleep. She also has a rash - its mostly on the side of her face and neck, the side she sleeps on. Its a bumpy rough red rash. She's starting to get the rough feeling on her legs though, a little on her belly.

I'm mostly dairy & egg free (I have an egg sensitivity/allergy that appeared a few years ago, and I'm lactose intolerant). There's not a lot of soy in my diet either. I have been eating a fair amount of wheat bran & nuts though.

Does this sound like a food sensitivity? My other thought was a foremilk/hindmilk imballance....

green poop could be either allergy or the f/h milk imballance, but the rash makes me think it's an allergy. cut out all your dairy and eggs. if it's not better in a month or so, I'd cut out nuts or wheat, depending on if you have a gut feeling. my gut always told me to be cautios w/ nuts and it turns out dd is allergic to peanuts, so I'm a strong believer in listening to the gut.

milk and soy are the most common offenders. my son is milk/soy protein intolerant, as are many, many babes! i would cut out all dairy and soy. i would worry about eggs, nuts and wheat after that.

Ok, cutting out dairy & eggs should be really easy.....there isn't any in my diet that I know of, but I'm sure there's something hiding somewhere.

Cutting out all traces of soy is going to be tougher.....I've never paid any attention to what its in.

Thanks for the suggestions

I'm not sure about the mucousy stools/spit up. Could be something???

But the rash is definitely an allergy/sensitivity. It may not be related something she's eating, though, or it could be a combination of foods/environment/products. It's tough. You could start with foods and see if there is an improvement (especially considering the mucous). Wheat and nuts are also common allergens.
