But then again, there isn't really debate on this thread. And I know you can post links to your own threads. This might be a grey area.

hmm there was a very similar question on another board I am a member of. It is more mainstream than here (many moms frequent both and will know what I am talking about). If this is the same mother then there is not a single thing you can say that will sway her. She is super pro circ and believes that it is her right to mutilate her children at will. I tend to avoid her on principal. No use arguing with people who can't see reason. But then this may be a totally different mother.

Either way I am a bit surprised that it managed to make it to two pages. I would assume since she even mentions circumcising her son that she should he asked to edit her second question. It is really weird to see a thread on MDC with mothers having to state that they would never circumcise their son in reference to a question asked in the original post. This is starting to sound like a bunch of rambleing, I hope this makes some sort of sense.. it's way too late.

Most people don't know to report it. A mod may check it early on, but they might not get back to it unless someone flags it.
Perhaps the mom will get the message with all the responses.

It's not against the UA to mention circumcision; it's only against the UA to advocate it.

Plenty of moms on MDC circ, a very sad fact. Most just don't 'talk' about it here.

I'd rather people mention it and have the reference stay so that we can at least encourage more thought before it happens... if it was moderated out then likely she wouldn't be encouraged to think about it any more than she already has.
