Possible recall in the works??

I was driving yesterday from PA to NY and listening to NPR.

All this recall business may affect baby formula soon. The recall currently affects dog food because of rice protein and wheat gluten from 2 different manufacturing plants in China. Apparently, a plastic was added because its high in nitrogen. Testing that is done to determine protein content, tests for nitrogen. This plastic that was intentionally added so that the protein "reading" would be higher.

There are six grain sources which are currently being investigated, Soy protein among them...

Anyone else listen to NPR yesterday and hear this?

I heard something about it too, but the kids were screaming so I missed most of it...

I listen to NPR constantly and I missed it. So I am going to look for the link and post it here. Do you remember which show it was featured on?

When listening to the regular news, my ears have caught that baby formula is among the products that use some of the now suspicious food stuffs from China. So the implications have been out there for those paying attention.

This story mentions corn, soy, and rice products and the relationship between melamine, protein, and nitrogen:
