Ezzo.....I was at a local consignment sale for kids/babies and they had all kinds of stuff...so i find myself walking real quickley to the book section and my eyes were skimming for you guessed it...Baby Wise....i found it and i almost bought it and threw it away...but instead....i looked around and no one was watching me and i hid the book...really good...they had all the books on the book shelf and i hid it on the bottom shelf behind all the books...no one will find that one baby!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud that i possibly saved a mama and baby...i read on here some time ago about putting post-it's inside this book...but i didnt have my purse so...i just hid the darn thing.....I'm so excited that i read that on here....

: I do that at my local thrift store, toss it behind a book shelf or hide it in some random place. I should feel bad for doing that makes more work for the workers...but it is one of those deals where the end justifies the means IMO

Whats Baby Wise

I think it's a great idea

In fact, while I was expecting my dd, my best friend and neighbor was 5 months ahead of me with her first son. FYI - This was long before I knew anything about MDC and was involved in natural parenting practices. . . :

I remember asking her for recommendations on books for getting babies on schedules, etc. I didn't know anything about newborns, or what they were "supposed" to do and I thought she knew it all having been through it so recently. She couldn't stop gushing about BabyWise so I picked it up at a local thrift store where I saw it for sale. And when my poor dd was born, I spent the first few days waking myself (and her) like a crazy woman every two hours to nurse her on "schedule," totally going against my mama instincts to let her tell me when she was hungry. It all just felt so unnatural! And the more I read, the more I just couldn't believe that this method could be right!!

It didn't take too long for me to throw that advice out the window - thank goodness!

So when I found it in some of dd's stuff about 2 months ago, I took the opportunity to rip it to shreds before throwing it in the recycle bin. It felt awesome!!:

A very strict, controlling book. Here's some info about it www.ezzo.info

It also parades a Christian parenting philosophy called Growing Kids God's Way

The ezzo.info page has a brochure you can put inside the books. I need to print some of those out.

I don't tend to check out the book section but I was with a friend at our free thrift store on base. There was a Baby Wise book and she threw it behind the bookshelf against the wall. They won't find that one for years baby!
