if you have a trader joe's nearby, they have a really good frozen pizza that's just roasted veggies and dough-- no dairy, no soy. made me sane again
they also have some really good allergen-free sorbet.

someone just told me that Papa John's crust is dairy/soy free and it is really good veggie pizza w/out the chz.

I cannot have any tomatos. Wah! I've taken to buying pizza dough that is dairy free, rubbing olive oil on both sides, adding fresh chopped garlic, italian seasonsing and what ever toppings I want (pepperoni and black olives usually) and baking according to directions. It satisfies me when I'm desperate.

i didn't know about papa johns. Thanks!!!!!

I'm so sad! I can't do tomatoes either. I even tried a sauce of roasted red peppers and dd reacted to that, too. (Too many salicylates all around, I think.)

I finally came up with a sauce we could do: safe pesto (without parmesan or pine nuts; just basil, olive oil, garlic, salt). It's nice to be able to spread something on the dough, lol!

Just saw this at Papa Johns:

Does your pizza contain soy?
Our original pizza dough, thin crust and pizza sauce contains soybean oil.

Does your dough contain animal fats?
NO. Only soybean oil.

Sorry, I got the Papa John's info from someone else. We can't do soy oil, but most everyone that is allergic to soy can do the oil and lecithin. It is the fat, and the allergic part is the protien.

no soybean oil for us either-- though lecithin seems to be ok.

for the no tomato folks, that trader joe's pizza doesn't have tomato on it either, though sorry chinesepistache, it does have roasted red peppers.

i hadn't thought of parm-free pesto-- i bet it's pretty good-- we'll have to try it
