A department store I go to frequently and purchase most of my baby items from has really nice parent rooms, seperate from the bathrooms, with chairs for feeding, changing mats. a gated soft play area, etc.. where both moms and dads are welcome. There are a couple of little curtained off areas which I assume are for breastfeeding, if one wishes, but I've seen plenty of women just nursing in the chairs in the main section.
On the outside of the door to this room is a green sign with a picture of a bottle on it. Every time I see it it bothers me a bit that there is nothing there to welcome breastfeeding or even mention it as an option. This department store has a good name for itself and I think they might be open to a customer suggestion but am not sure how to approach them about using the
symbol on their door in addition to or instead of the bottle.
Any ideas how I should tackle this? A letter, a face-to-face meeting, an email? I don't want to come across as preachy or pushy, but I also want to be convincing and informative.
