What's on your list? - Page 2

Most of my stuff is at least half way done now but I need to finish it all soon. We just had the baby shower so now I'm doing a final list of things we need to buy or replace. So I need to:

Cook and freeze more meals
Stock up on household items and groceries (shampoo, soap, tea, sugar, etc.)
Buy the last minute baby items and stuff we didn't get
Buy more diapers and wipes or make cloth diapers and wipes
Make ring sling and wet bags if we use cloth diapers
Clean the house
Have garage sale to clean out excess (doing it this Sat.)
Buy nursing bras, tops, and nightgowns
Buy pp items for me (pads, etc.)
Pack hospital bag

There's probably more too that I'm just not thinking of but this is more than enough. I wish we could decide on whether or not to CD that's the biggest problem now. I want to but DH keeps telling me no!

-wash and assemble bassinet

-buy baby wash/shampoo

-wash towels/sheets/etc

-declutter my bathroom closet

-gather all hb supplies and put in one location

-deep clean my house

-make up my bed with linens/shower curtain at 36 weeks

I'm sure there are many many things I COULD be doing to get ready for this baby. I think this time I'm going to stick to the minimum...

pack for birth
pull out some neutral clothes for the first few weeks
make a space to put those clothes
give the bedroom a good once-over (dusting, vacuuming, clean sheets..)
maybe make some meals if I get around to it...

yeah, I think that we can survive if I just get these done. Anything else will just be a bonus.

I have everything left to do, I haven't done anything!

I'll get dh to install the carseat this weekend.

I need to:

buy birth pool
buy the extra labor/birth essentials
buy baby essentials (diapers, covers, wipes, etc.)
make freezer meals
wash baby things
set up the things we have
declutter
I could probably add to this list all day, but I think I better go get started on some of it instead.

*Air out the shower curtains in the garage for a few weeks before the birth
*finish getting the "by 36 week" supplies together and in one place (two days before 36 weeks! Ack!
*finish washing baby clothes and diapers and figure out where I'm going to put them
*get car seat properly installed

*not start to panic!

We also need to do a dry run of filling up the birth pool to make sure the hose fits the sink, the pump works, and there are no holes in the pool.

I think I should probably go out and buy a baby bath tub too.

* place towels in car (n case water breaks)
* buy huge pads, nursing tops, nursing pad inserts for bra, breastfeedng bra,
* pack 3 bags, (one for baby, one for labor, and one for after labor)
* witchhazel
* Food for my husband during birth (packable)
* figure out middle name
* an in-case-baby-is-NOT-a-girl name (24% of time they are wrong)
* charge up itunes
* make a mix for my itunes that would have fitting songs for occasion...
