Go to Contraction Master and time your contractions for a while! If you're like me, they'll go away after 5-10 contractions!

I totally believe that. Our minds can do very powerful things. Maybe next time have someone else sit at the computer for you.

Too true! Or even just thinking "Hey this could be it!" does it for me. Even after 12 hours of contractions. I'm only a little bitter about it :

Or you could get your family visiting from out of state all excited (even though you are figuring the contractions are probably not IT ...) and talking about names and getting directions to the hospital - then go to bed! The contractions will stop! : (Yeah, that's what happened here Saturday night - on my daughter's birthday)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA sry but that is just too morbidly funny!! very true, i think my mind has already sabotaged labor more than once for me, GRR :
