Is anyone else dealing with pubic bone pain?

My babies are a month old and I am still dealing with pubic bone pain. I'm seeing my chiropractor regularly, she is trained in prenatal and postpartum care. She has explained that it will take a while to sort out my pubic bone, the right side is kicked forward and this has caused a bunch of other stuff to go out of whack. I am so frustrated by not being able to do things like go for a walk, get in and out of the car, go up and down stairs without pain. I am miserable and looking for company.

By chance did you have a C-section? It doesn't sound like it, but I thought I'd throw this out there. A lot of women experience pain not just from the healing scar, but because they are developing adhesions.

I was on bedrest for a month after ds1 and it was months before I could return to normal activity. Baking cookies was too intense for the first 4 months after the birth. I separated the cartilage between the pubic bone and was majorly out of alignment. This pregnancy, I saw the chiropractor throughout and am doing much better after the delivery -- I can walk, carry my son, etc though I still am sore. Of course, I was on very restricted activity/bedrest for part of this pregnancy. So, I can definitely commiserate. Has your chiropractor recommended a belt to wear after seeing her? I have one that I wore after ds1 and during this pg. Anything that will keep your pelvis steady while the muscles are getting stronger and the hormones allow your body to tighten up is what you are looking for. Running shorts, a girdle, a postpartum belt, or even a scarf can help providing your pelvis is in the right place. You can also google pubic symphysis to get some more info, but there isn't a lot out there other than on MDC.

I'm still in a good bit of pain too, however I developed a symphyseal separation during my pregnancy and my pain now is significantly better than it was while I was pregnant. It's still pretty intense though. I'm sorry to hear others are still hurting too.
