There's a full moon on Wednesday!

Will we have any labors brought on by the full moon???

I will be 37 weeks on Wednesday... and it will be the earliest day that it is OK to give birth at the fsbc. I always expected to go over 40 weeks and I still might (though it would be excruciating - I am at 40 cm (my belly - not my cervix )and baby's head feels like it is bouncing on my cervix already), but I am fantasizing about an early birth... my u/s last Thursday said that baby was 8 lbs 8 oz last week (at 36+1 : ). I just don't believe that! But if that's the case, then wishing for a little bit earlier birth might be OK. And no, my dates are not incorrect.

Not me, but my daughter will sleep through the night! Since she's been an infant she's always slept well on the full moon. Maybe I will too!

I've been hoping so!!! I predicted months ago that I would go into labor on the full moon, and give birth early next morning... crossing fingers!

that's my due date - maybe i'll be one of those rare cases to give birth on my due date. but i would be happy with even a little bit of labor that night too

I too will be 37 weeks on Wed and maybe the whole full moon thing has psyched me out--but I too have wondered if it could be my "day."
Ok--maybe its wishful thinking...but at 100% effaced with him at +1 station--one can certainly dream!!!

I really would like the full moon thing to have an effect...but shh, dont tell any one I said that!!!

OH! I'm so excited about the full moon! I am due Tues, May 1, so it is very possible that it will happen!! Keep fingers crossed, please!

I'm ALSO 37 weeks on Wednesday and I'm so excited to have kept this kiddo in this long. I'm still not really 'ready' yet so I hope it's not me! I was so uncomfortable with my first so early that comparatively this baby's been a piece of cake. I still love being pregnant!

I hope I don't go into labor Wednesday night. That would be awful, have too much planned out for that night.

Never has bothered me before so hopefully that continues to hold true.

I hope the moon effects me! I'm due May 4th, I'm contracting like crazy just not in any regular pattern and she dropped this weekend! I'm ready to do this thing!

I'm only 36 weeks, so I better not. Maybe the NEXT full moon. (Although, actually I better have a baby in my arms by then.)

I'm due May 5th...having a bunch of contractions...but I guess not enough to send me into labor yet. I've never had a baby around a full moon so maybe it will work this time!

I'm kind of hoping that it will get my labor going too. But I'll only be about 38 weeks, so I'm not really getting worked up about it.

I just went and looked the past moon phases to see when my son was born - and if that's any indicator he was born under an about 25% waning cresent. If this one follows that, she'll be here around May 12th.

I'll be 40 weeks on Wednesday. Full moon could do it. We're also in the weird front range weather pattern we get in the spring now, where the quick fronts come in and bring thunderstorms in the afternoons for a few weeks, so it's possible that a low pressure front could suck this baby out of me! But I was able to schedule my finals this week instead of next week, so it would be very polite of my baby to be a little patient and come after Thursday afternoon. That would allow all my support people to be back in town on time as well.

Edit: I just looked up the "Flower Moon" reference and found out it's also called the Milk Moon in May - how appropriate!

I thought it was the new moon that brought babies. When is that one? (I was sooooo totally going to ask that question today anyway )


This is semi-OT, but my husband doesn't believe in the new moon.

Does not beleive in the new moon? . ..there is actually an mathimatical equation to figure it out.


And May 16th is the next new moon.

There will be another full moon in 4 weeks... then you'll be 41 weeks. :
