You know, I was just thinking. I think my mom would be more on board if my brother hadn't just gotten married and is due in June. They're very mainstream, and mom sees them weekly, so it's easy for her to jump on their bandwagon.

Have you told her yet? If I were you I'd tell her ASAP to give her some time to adjust first. I told my mom months ago that we're having a homebirth if we have another, to give her lots of time to get used to the idea before I ask her to be there.

I am just curious though, does she expect to be there? Was she there for your first birth? (I don't remember if you've already told me) Or is it that you want her to support your home birth?
