I had to go in for IV iron today . . . The infusion center is part of the local Oncology clinic, so things sometimes get backed up. I decided to express some milk just in case I didn't get back in a reasonable amount of time (or in case Ronan decided he absolutely had to eat NOW).
Figuring that I'd save some time, I used my oversupplied right breast and an Avent hand pump.
I just want to say that watching milk spray out of my nipple (it normally just runs in a steady drip) is really freakin' cool.
I don't know what I'll do with the few ounces I pumped. I don't really want to offer a bottle unnecessarily, but I hate to waste it. Maybe I'll give it to the dog.
