HELP! DD's shirt had stickers on it an went through the washer/dryer:-o

YEP, I did it. Took DD's new cotton knit shirt that had a BIG sticker on the front (one she got from the doctor's office) and forgot to take the sticker off and washed and dried it.

AACK!!!!!

The sticker is long gone, but the sticky residue is still there. I mean it's REALLY there. How can I get it off?

Thanks,
Sandy

vinegar is supposed to take it off of windows, try soaking it in that.

Happened to me once, too, and I used some TKO (can you get that?). It's an organic citrus cleaner. Worked great!

Id like to second the tko It took of all 33 stickers of my ds's pants:

I used witch hazel to get out pine tar one time. You just want to spot check for color-fastness first.

When it happens to us (more often then it should!) I just keep throwing it back in the basket. After enough loads it goes away. But that's not a very genius suggestion is it?

Great tips. That's been a nightmare of mine that thankfully hasn't happened to us, but it's been close.

Well, I tried the vinegar and it didn't do much. :-( I don't know what TKO is. I'm in Georgia. Is it only available in Canada?

If all else fails, I'll wash it to death.
