Oh yeah, and cute photos, Jes and Heather! Would you believe that I did not take a single photo on Mother's Day? I was too stressed out with Lu being sick, I guess.

What is hip hop hand?

DD squats when we make the Mario bros noise and then we make the noise again and she gets back up (like the mushroom got her and she's getting big or an enemy got her and she's shrinking). DH used to do this for her all the time and she picked it up.

It's like waving one arm up and down, I guess, but to the beat of the song.

Aimee good to see you!

My mothers' day went well. I just went to the bookstore and had some time to myself-- I really enjoyed it.

Is everyone's baby still nursing strong? What kinds of food are they eating? I give P something we're eating if it's appropriate (i.e. meets my assorted food criteria for health and quality!) but he also eats Os, green beans, applesauce, banana, and other fruit we're having, sweet potato, broccoli, muffins/bread that I make -- aside from anything on our plates. Jon was thinking P should be eating more food but I think he's gotten over that. I feel good that he's still 90% (at least) nutrition from BM and don't want to rush weaning. I don't even like to THINK about weaning! And I'm frustrated that when I say something like that, DH or MIL suggest it's because I don't want to let go. And even if that is true, so what? You can't force a child to nurse.
DH knows I want to nurse until 2 but I haven't let him in on the fact that I want to go past 2 and possible CLW....
We are nurseing on the move too, I don't know how long we will nurse.some days she is just to busy and other days I can't even pee with out her attatched to my boob.

She eats what we do small snacks you will say. About a table spoon or two total. She is a bread fiend, loves the ends of a baggette. Very into self feeding and loves oatmeal. Our kitchen it very sticky!

I have lots of weird feelings from joy to sadness about her being the last one.I feel guilty and mad for not standing my ground and birthing her how I wanted.( waterbirth ) And I feel some how all I do is never enough.I am slacking in house hold duties, that really anoys me.I get the dishes done and laundry and thats about it. Hell if I didn't have to wash diapers every day I probly wouldn't do laundry!

The sheets need to be done today if it kills me! I don't remember when I changed them last.

I remembered to feed the dogs today! so thats a start!

Yea, we think her hair is going to be red. Andrew's dad's hair was red once upon a time, and SIL's hair is a gorgeous dark red. And we haven't decided on eye color still. Some days green, some grey, some days it looks like the inside of the iris is brown and the outside is blue. Silly kid. Good thing that hazel encompases so much or she'd have never gotten a passport. Of course, we're going to have to change the hair color on it because she had brown when we sent in the application!

I have a job interview tomorrow. And every time I look at my baby, I feel so guilty that I want to vomit.

it'll be okay. i promise. in the long run (more likely the short run!) your quality of life will improve, thereby being a positive thing for her.

i am sorry though. we're barely scraping by, and there are days i wonder if i should try and go back to work, and then i look at the price of day care around here and realize we'd be paying for me to work.

again,

Candice, I know how you feel. I went back to the office at 8 weeks, but was lucky enough to work out an arrangement where ryan is with her when I'm gone. Remember that you are choosing to go back to work for the greater good of everyone in your whole family. still sux in many ways, but it's for the greater good, right?

What are you looking to do? And would it be full-time? Would Lu be in DC?

:
I went back to work essentially at 8 weeks too, though I did a day here and there at 6-7. Even though it is DH that is caring for Philip, and even though he's a great dad, I still feel guilt at times for not being at home. If a man is working full-time and his wife is a SAHM he feels good for supporting his family and he likely won't hesitate to work long hours to improve his income or career. But as a mother, I feel stuck. I know I'm supporting my family with my job but I also feel like if I were a REAL mother I would be at home caring for my baby. So I don't want to work long hours, and I maintain my career only within certain limits (such as, don't permanently screw yourself over).
I obviously am not helping much, but know you're not alone.
Still waiting on you at LJ...

Sarah (again)

Hey, I'm sorry about last month, BTW, I totally dropped the ball. I have to take off June 4, are you doing anything then? PM me...
Sarah, yes! And I was this guy --> as soon as the song started. It's one of my favorite feel-good songs. I can't believe how far she's come.

Jessica, it's an associate attorney position. Ugh, more later. Gotta go.

What up, ladies? I just read through the last few pages and felt like saying "hi." Good to see some cronies back!

Nevie is just growin' and doin' her thing. More info on the blog. Mother's Day was pretty laid back because I had homework to work on -- a prerequisite that I need for PT school, Exercise Physiology. Oh, and I got in to PT school (all of them! woot woot!), so I'll start that in the fall. I have a spot for Nevie reserved at a nearby and FRICKIN' AWESOME little montessori school. I'm so excited for her, actually! She's such a social kid that I think she'll have a blast. I'll start taking her a little bit here & there in July. Hellloooo, time to myself.

I've been running a lot (joined the Running Tribe here) and am training for some sprint-distance triathlons at the end of summer.

Dan starts his job next week with a great Structural/Civil engineering design firm.

Ummmmm... that's about it for us. Korin, the slideshow got me ferklempt. Heather, your post about the crap we put ourselves through in these early days of mamahood made me want to run around the block, waving my arms and saying "Hallelujah!!" Helen, you still crack me up. I want to be as clever as you when I grow up.

I'm missing folks, but I'm in a hurry... the series finale of Gilmore Girls starts in a little bit. Sniff.

I didn't see this. I warmed 1 clove on the stove like Heather suggested and put 1 drop in each ear b/c I realized I didn't ask how much she gets per ear and how often do I do it? DUH

Thanks! I hope so too. I posted on here in Finding your Tribe but so far, no takers.
