Uh here I am! Sorry I have been ignoring you girls esp since everyone is here!!! Been busy packing and watching the areas here I am in charge of. That of course is another story.....we wont touch.

Mothers day- Bob made me and his parents breakfast and then we went to my brothers house for dinner. Very nice relaxing day. It was fun watching Bob run all over the place while saying- sit down its your day!

My parents are up here for the summer/fall from FL. I feel bad because MAggie us TERRIFIED of them. She sees them and wails. But hey, they were gone all of the winter so its their problem too!

Megs!

: sarah, that made me cry. Ruby loved it!

I had a job interview today and I cried while I got dressed. I turned on some music and rocked LJ to sleep (DH was staying home with him). DH asked me why I felt the need to put him to sleep before I left... he doesn't know that I was actually soothing both myself and LJ before I left . Anywho... I am so sad about returning to work... I wonder if I can drag this out atleast until the fall What would it take? Going to interviews and talking about DS for the entire time? I think I bummed the interview today, bc I brought DS up a lot... I didnt realize how much my conversation goes back to him nowadays.. lol. I need some interview coaching and a job that allows me to stay home with LJ or that allows me to bring him in a carrier.

We taught her to do "hip-hop hand" though, when Joey listens to hip-hop.
I'm so glad things seem to be on an upswing for you health and sleep wise!!!! I'm right there with you on the tantrums (what IS it with some of our June girls? ) And the hip hop hand thing is a riot. AND, don't ever NOT share your baby joy with us!

too. I can't imagine how hard it must be to be away every day. But good luck on your interview and I hope it is a good fit for your life.

Actually, that was someone else, not me - I just commented that I liked the suggestion of using the infused oil later on to cook food.

You know, I feel badly because K does not seem to like my MIL. She'll let my parents hold her for a bit, and even FIL hold her for a bit, but she starts crying within a minute of MIL holding her. And I'm not sure why, because MIL is a fine woman and I have no problems with her - the only thing I can figure is maybe Kait's "spidey sense" realizes that MIL is a no nonsense lady and doesn't put up with anyone's crap, whereas the rest of us are cutting K some slack (with her INTENSE emotions and LOUD expression of them) right now because she's only 10 months old.

Aw, - I hope you can find a job that's a good fit, too!

Have a good one, ladies.

Olivia does not like any of the grandparrents she wails as well. My mom is very anoying to her,so I think she thinks any older person will be like that.

I got interrupted by Mr. Candice when I was trying to respond before. As I said, it's an associate attorney position, but I would be primarily writing appellate briefs, which is all I want to do anyway. I wasn't really actively looking for a job, but this one sort of screamed at me to send a resume. I think it would be full time, but I imagine that I could do a lot of the work from home. One of my friends has offered to watch the girls until Joey gets out of school in mid-June. Then he'd be SAHD for the summer. I would hope that by fall, I could figure out a way to work at home for most of the time, and he could watch them when he was not in school.

If a man is working full-time and his wife is a SAHM he feels good for supporting his family and he likely won't hesitate to work long hours to improve his income or career. But as a mother, I feel stuck. I know I'm supporting my family with my job but I also feel like if I were a REAL mother I would be at home caring for my baby. So I don't want to work long hours, and I maintain my career only within certain limits (such as, don't permanently screw yourself over).
I obviously am not helping much, but know you're not alone.
Still waiting on you at LJ...
It's only recently that I've been able to entertain the idea of Joey staying home with the girls. Before, I would have imagined field trips to the bar and McDonald's for b/l/d. I really never gave him a chance. He's been taking Lu all over the place, and when he's taken her while I sleep in, I'll wake up to a clean house. He has an amazing ability to multi-task that I don't have.

Nevie is just growin' and doin' her thing. More info on the blog. Mother's Day was pretty laid back because I had homework to work on -- a prerequisite that I need for PT school, Exercise Physiology. Oh, and I got in to PT school (all of them! woot woot!), so I'll start that in the fall. I have a spot for Nevie reserved at a nearby and FRICKIN' AWESOME little montessori school. I'm so excited for her, actually! She's such a social kid that I think she'll have a blast. I'll start taking her a little bit here & there in July. Hellloooo, time to myself.

I've been running a lot (joined the Running Tribe here) and am training for some sprint-distance triathlons at the end of summer.

Dan starts his job next week with a great Structural/Civil engineering design firm.

Ummmmm... that's about it for us. Korin, the slideshow got me ferklempt. Heather, your post about the crap we put ourselves through in these early days of mamahood made me want to run around the block, waving my arms and saying "Hallelujah!!" Helen, you still crack me up. I want to be as clever as you when I grow up.

I'm missing folks, but I'm in a hurry... the series finale of Gilmore Girls starts in a little bit. Sniff.
Congrats on school and your running! I have been trying to get back into jogging, but it has been difficult to find consistency.

lil ant is sick again. pukey and diarrhea. Mr ant's niece had the flu when we went up last weekend. I wish wish wish that someone would take us seriously when we say we'd like to keep her away from the other sick kids for a while...and let us know when someone is sick.

It's a courtesy I give to everyone else (We called all of them to let them know and make sure they were ok with her pink eye before we headed up).

But no. We are now on week 3 of being sick.

She threw up all night last night....we ran out of blankets. The kid can't keep anything down. I feel so bad...I should be able to keep the sickies off her for a moment.

Thanks, guys. I know it was shamelessly begging for attention on my part to ask if y'all had seen it, but I guess I just needed the attention today? Sorry if it was obnoxious.

Not obnoxious! I totally missed that post the first time through, so I had to go back and find it when you asked. Glad I did!
