So how much does everyone's kiddos weigh now? We are at 27.5 lbs (as of Sunday). I'm guessing my baby is a giant. we knew she was a hippo but we thought she was a little one.


DD is not a picky eater...at all. Anyone else have an eat-anything kid?

Ok quick drive by posting before we get going for the day...
1. plain coconut milk from the can. nothing added, she goes nutso for it. I add it to oatmeal and stuff sometimes too.

2. tofu - not here, but i'm sensitive to soy, so we're avoiding it till later.

3. thats how many teeth we have 2 on the bottom 1 on the top. no where near molars yet.

Ice cream "recipe"... 2 cans coconut milk (not light!) some maple syrup ( like 1/2 c if you have it, I had to add a little sugar cause I din't have enough syrup) some vanilla (like 2 tsp) and a dash of cinnamon. put in ice cream maker. go.

Next time I'm adding fruit.

Ok. i JUST started my period, all over the bed. like 2 seconds ago. Guess it's laundry day. FUN. :

Speaking of periods, my first one was suuuuuper light. I barely noticed it. Anyone else have this? Should I not get excited, because it might be niagara falls next time? I can't remember how things went after Tania.

Yeah good luck with that. I was always heavy but now it's just ridiculous.
Apparently, though, my cervix is strange. The opening is not a smiley face like is usual in women who have dilated, but is a 3 pronged something er other. Um, ? But I am thinking this makes my worse. Aren't you all glad I shared this with you?

I think P is 28-29 lbs. He was about 27 at his 9 mo check up. Speaking of, today is his 11 mo bday. : Sometimes I look at him on the bed sleeping or nursing and I just can't believe that he's becoming a kid so quickly!

P usually does eat everything, but the green beans are a recent phenomenon. He used to eat them now he just throws them. Sometimes, too, I think he just doesn't want to eat anything at all.

My Monster is a breadatarian. All previously accepted fruit and vegetables no longer apply. She still has a slight taste for human blood and lots of breastmilk. I think it's teething causing the new food aversions. She is enjoy chewing an ice cube in one of those nasty mesh feeders. I will have to try coconut milk ice cream. Give up that recipe, kthx!

We were putting ice cubes in a baby washcloth, but she figured out how to untie that. Then she cries when her hand gets cold. So the feeder thing has a handle. win win win.

She likes sourdough a lot. Ciabatta. Anything. I have never seen her refuse bread. We do wheat, obvs.

We don't do bibs at meals. They don't really help! One more thing to wash. We have one smock someone gave us, which comes out for avocado, since that seems to stain.

Korin, thanks for the recipe! I have an ice cream maker stashed away, was gonna get rid of it, but that sounds good....

H. was 18lbs 13oz at her 9 month. I think she's about 20 lbs now according to her sitting on our home scale. She is about 30 inches. So either she is a runt, or everyone else is giant.

Talula hasn't been weighed since she was 2mo. If I wasn't such a fat-ass, I might have a scale of my own, but my self-esteem can't take it these days. I'd guess she's about 25 pounds. I measured her a couple months ago and she was 27 3/4 inches. I think she's losing some chub what with all the crawling and stuff. Maybe I should start crawling.

I think I will start crawling too. Walking and falling down a lot seems to help too. Eating crap from the floor must boost the metabolism as well.

My kid is no longer looking so much like me. And she has curly hair now. :

~has 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom)
~thinks biting while nursing is still funny :
~I don't know how much long he is or how much he weighs (no dr. since 2mos old)
~needs his 6th haircut :
~will eat ANYTHING!
~claps, says mama and dada, waves, signs "more" anytime he wants to eat or nurse
~and for whatever reason, loves the downward facing dog yoga position and will assume it randomly

Im not sure what J.C weighs. He'll be going to the doc soon so we'll find out then. And he told me he thinks hippos are adorable!!

Good lil' ant isn't a picky eater, neither is J.C, so picking a restaurant will always be easy for them

Lucky!! My periods after J.C have been heavier, crampier, and all around suckier!!

Katie is 28 inches and change. Our bathroom scale has said that she weighs 20lbs since like November, so I'm going to say it's not accurate. Last time we had her on an accurate scale, she was 19lbs, 11oz and that was 4 months ago. No idea what she weighs now. She wears 12-18 month clothes.

Katie loves rye bread.

And, we're taking the next 8 weeks off from Salsa class. Then we'll go back for the Salsa Toddlers class, which is geared toward the kids instead of the moms. So fun! Today was our last babies class.

Ruby is probably about 18-19 lbs... i'll weigh her tomorrow when she's in the office with me. I have no idea how tall... she's the runt of the crew apparently She's in 9-12 month stuff.

I'm having a shit day. I hate working and thnk I need to find a way to quit. I' having lots of anxiety, and I hate it. bleh. Hold me, mamas. Hold me.

Hi Kelly.

Sorry about your day, Korin. Work scares me. Money intrigues me though.

I think we're getting the second set of top incisors. Lu is very sad about it and wakes up during the nighttime, very upset. Every hour.

But in all, I'm reeeeeally enjoying this stage of her life. She has a little morning routine. I hear her talking to the ceiling fan, so I go to get her. We walk around the house, open the curtains, and say good morning to everything. The cat, the flower in a vase, the computer. Everything gets a wave. Then we pee in the toilet and wave goodbye to it when we flush. Then I put her down on the living room floor and she crawls around, pulling things off of every surface until she is satisfied. Then she stands up at the screen door and waves to something out there? A ghost? The trash cans? Only Lu knows for sure. She's so much fun to watch though. She'll find anything that shouldn't be within her reach.

S2 is about 20lb, and probably around 30", maybe longer. She has next to no baby chub left. She's thinning out so much since she got to crawling. When she's laying on her back and stretches out, you can see definition in her abs. She's in 12-18m clothes, but some 18-24m pants. Long legs and a big CD butt make for a need for roomy pants.

She eats anything and everything. Most recently we discovered the joy that is kiwi. I'll have to try coconut milk.

A friend of mine and I are going in to business together, and we make toddler bibs. Big necks. Her 9mo son is bigger than S2, so we use him as a basis.

S2 got her first black eye today. Someone learned how to pull up Tuesday night, and while she was practicing today, she lost her balance and caught the corner of the activity cube on her cheek bone just under her left eye. She's a tough cookie. It looks worse than it is.
