Ah, my mom, sister, and I went to see that movie 9 times in the theatre when it originally came out. My sister and I would put the soundtrack on the RECORD player and act out the final dance. I always had to be Johnny b/c I was older.....all I ever wanted was to be Baby.

I was really jealous of my friend who went the other night to see it on the big screen also! Until she told me that she left in the middle of it because she was too tired!!!

How awesome! I just love Dirty Dancing! If I wasn't participating in a no spend challenge I'd take dh on a date to see it!

awww, i saw it the night before i left for college. they actually mention my college's town in the movie- i was so psyched! i just got my friend's baby a "nobody puts baby in the corner" onsie

Love it! We went on a tour of Lake Lure, NC where the movie was filmed and the guide pointed out where certain scenes were filmed. The one of Patrick lifting JG in the water was filmed in late fall/early winter and the crew had to keep gluing the leaves back on the trees to make it look like summer! They said they lad to use a much wider shot than they originally planned on b/c their lips were blue!

Patrick Swayze will always be hot..I even watched the not-so-great "Dirty Dancing Two: Havana Nights just b/c he was in it!

BTW, I saw it on the big screen last week too!!! I can't even describe how fabulous it was. It was so great!!!

Also, NOT ONE person got up. EVER. NO PHONES rang. EVER. It was an amazing movie-going experience. Especially since I haven't been to one in over two years!!!

I recently dowloaded the entire Dirty Dancing sountrack cause I was bit by the nostalgia bug when I heard the remix of She's Like the Wind that they're playing now.

I can still remember being forbidden by my parents from watching it cause they thought it was innapropriate for me!

I just saw that a 20th anniversary edition DVD is coming out! I can't wait to get it!!
