Dh was right about the doctor...

He's said "She's an idiot" several times. He is going to blow a gasket when he hears what she said to me today.

I'm 42 weeks pregnant today. Had another NST and ultrasound, and everything is fine. Baby is apparently supremely happy in there.

So she says "Well, he looks good. But if he doesn't come this weekend, I'm thinking that means he knows that he's too big to come out vaginally".

Did she really say that? Yes she did. :

I am not making *any* more appointments for *anything*. The next time anybody sees me is when I'm in full blown labor, and not before. I am so sick of this garbage. :

good idea -- just wait them out -- unless you start to get the mommay feel that somethingis wrong......

the baby won't just stay in there forever

and like an unborn child understands the concept of a c-section??????

hope all goes well

Oh no, he's manipulating you already. You had better nip this in the bud and evict his ass before it gets out of hand. I mean next thing you know he'll be crying just to get your attention when he's on the outside.

Yikes! Cause he's in there with a measuring tape. Does the doctor even know the reason that labor begins? Sure, baby's start labor, but not because they've done a stastical analysis of the likelihood of pelvic adequateness! They start labor because they are ready. Running out of room is thought to be one of the triggers for labor. That would insinuate a baby that hasn't started labor at 42 (completed weeks or started weeks? just curious) is one that has plenty of room.

Two. They wanted to start at 41 weeks 1 day, and I skipped that one.

Lesson learned from experience: Forget to schedule them.

Good for you for not letting the doctor scare you!

I wish I had been this grounded and calm when DD went 43 weeks!
