WWYD: Attend infant CPR or prepare for HB

I still have so much to do to prepare for the birth and for our new baby, who is due any day now. I just noticed on my calendar that I have an infant CPR class to attend on Saturday. It's smack dab in the middle of the day and I had planned on making preparations around the home all weekend. Of course I know learning CPR is very important but that's planning for the worse case scenario and making HB preparations is planning for an actual event, KWIM? Should I go to the class or stay home to nest and hopefully maybe rest before the big day?

Nest. You can reschedule CPR.

Stay home! If you really feel like you need the info, look up some infant CPR basics online or get a book from the library. I am guessing it is not worthy of that much of your precious before-baby time at this point.

I took infant CPR and while it was a nice to have it wasn't ground breaking stuff.
You could read about it online if you needed too and practice on your DH

I never did infant CPR till DD was 8 months old and starting solids and I was worried about choking. So I'd vote nest.

definatly look up basics online or atttened class you never know when you may need it! My baby stopped breathing at 10 days old and needed rescue breathing while the emts got there I did not know cpr or rescue breathing but my mil who is an RN did and luckily she was there. learning CPR rescue breathing may save your childs life no nesting is more imporant than the knowladge to save a life
