Funny Line About Childbirth

I was listening to Jay-Z's song "December 4th" (well, technically a mashup of that song and "Oh What a Night") and I noticed the following lines in the second verse
Quote:
At ten pounds when I was born I didn't give her no pain
Although through the years I gave her her fair share
I gave her her first real scare, I made up for birth when I got here
Having never given birth (and unlikely to do so), I wouldn't necessarily know, but ten pounds seems like it might give some pain.

I like to over-analyze gangsta rap lyrics, I've done it since I was in Jr. High

maybe his mama had an epidural. That would have been a "pain free" birth.

Or maybe she's one of those lucky women who have an orgasmic birth....
Also, it's not really the weight of the baby that makes a diff, it's the size of the head. The weight is usually mostly fat, and that's squishy.

But they don't give you the epidural before you feel pain, do they? I mean even with an epidural, if it were going to be a painful birth, there would be some pain.

I know more than one person who has had a pain-free birth. My SIL had a 5.5 kilo baby and she said it didn't really hurt. She said she had a couple of stomach cramps and before she knew it, he had crowned. He had a big head, too.
