I voted for Elvis - I think he was and is one of the greatest vocalists of all time. He didn't write his own songs and he didn't play guitar incredibly well but his voice was absolutely amazing. I've not the musical background to detail the superior quality of his voice so I'll add this link.

I was not a fan of Elvis until my son started insisting on listening to him 24/7. I started listening to his music and now a huge fan. His Memphis '68 album is superb and his gospel is beautiful. I think his talent was wasted though - too many years wasted in those films and he died too young.

I voted for Elvis, since I was a little girl, I have loved him! But I love me some John too! It was hard to decide, even got my dh into it. Plus my dh asked me to marry him on a tour of Graceland, the formal living room!
