Pressure?

Ok please don't laugh at me, as most of you know this is my first so I know NOTHING...
The past few days I have felt what I am sure is LOADS of pressure in my pelvic region. Sometimes to the point of feeling like it is going to break.

I also have a hemorrhoid(TMI, sorry) I got it after a previous surgery and it had been gone for years, but has come back in the last couple of weeks. The last couple of days however it REALLY hurts bad, like there is pressure on it ALL the time..

So I am having what I consider to be extreme pelvic pressure, pain in my vagina and bottom, sometimes shooting pain depending. I am a little crampy. On top of that my belly is sore.

My DH is sure it is because I am doing too much and I should do WAY less, but I do not know if that is all it is?

Any suggestions? Is this normal? I am I being a big baby?

It sounds like your babe has dropped!

The pressure and pain are probably due to where exactly your babe is "smooshing"...it doesn't mean they've too big though (so don't worry about that!). There are all sorts of nerve clusters that run through the pelvic region, and sometimes a babe will wiggle into a position that crushes one or more of the nerve bundles. It's not fun, and the sensation can range from a never ending dull ache to a sharp, shooting, and "there's no way I can walk through this" pain.

One suggestion is to try the "polar bear" position (hands and knees, then lean further forward so your head/chest is resting on your arms or the floor and your bottom is sticking up in the air with your legs apart...you can find better descriptions and pictures online though!) to encourage your babe to slide a little out of the pelvis.

Swimming or other activities that let you "float" a bit are good too.

Thank You, I guess I should have known, I feel like a dork...

I am still hurting pretty bad, but I am sure like anything else I will get used to it. I got some Earth Mama-Angel Baby stuff for my bottom so that is on the mend for now.

It can't hurt to get some extra rest too in this last month... especially if DH is willing to go with it... maybe you can get a little extra "pampering" in before baby comes naps.... resting.... foot rubs!

It's a heavy load we are carrying around and once they drop it can be quite uncomfortable... except for having more room to breath!
