Ricki Lake in Salon-responses needed

There's an article about Ricki Lake's documentary in Salon magazine that's generating a lot of negative responses from readers. I thought some of you here might want to respond.

I saw her movie last night and loved it. Review is posted on NYC tribe and Homebirth Forum.

I can't. Just reading a few of the responses makes my blood boil.

MIDWIVES ARE NOT DOCTORS. perhaps a midwife should be there - but just to hold hands. (and speaking as a father of three - i wouldn't mind being *missing* at that "wonderful occasion" - it's horrible. wives are in pain and extra kvetchy, the baby looks totally yucky. i wouldn't mind visiting an hour later, to celebrate.)

Hmm, so much silliness in that last comment I can't beleive anyone would take him seriously.
