We had to pull out two of DD1's teeth 9 months ago. She fell and hit her mouth, the teeth couldn't be saved and had to be pulled, they were barely in there. It's one of her front teeth and then the tooth on the other side of it. DD1 adjusted very quickly and well, she chews all her food on the other side of her mouth. I have noticed a speech change after the accident. The pedi dentist had advised against a partial, saying that they break frequently in DC and are just not worth it. I did some research and have never been able to find much data one way or the other. I did come across something that said the speech changes could be permanent if there is not a partial. Getting another opinion would involve a 5 hour drive each way, this is the only pedi dentist in my area. Does any one have advice, resources to share? TIA Amy
