Keloid scars?

Does anyone know of a natural treatment to lessen their appearance? I had a suspicious mole removed from my shoulder and ended up with a keloid scar bigger than the mole itself : It's the size of a nickel and will be pretty obvious come beach season, which is just around the corner Any ideas?

You can get silicon strips- they really helped my scar on my neck. They aren't completely comfortable- but they're cheap and easy. You can get them at Target or any other drugstore.
I've also used a product called Scar Fade. It's not "natural" but it works.

Tamanu Oil. Use it often and with gentle massage to break-up the scar tissue.

I have made my own scar massage oil by mixing tamanu oil, vit C and vit E oils together.

I got rid of a tough scar in ds armpit using this. He has 23 stitches in January 2006. Today, there is just a fine white line in the same spot.

Warning, if you have nut allergies, tamanu is a nut.

You can also use tea tree oil, clove oil, and vitamin E. I use to work in a tattoo shop and some people would get keloids from body piercings and that's what a doctor recommended that we tell them to use and it seemed to work pretty well.

Will you post back how it worked for you? I tried the natural ones and didnt have much success so I switched over to the silicone strips: They worked great, but I would rather try something else next month when I get another one removed.

Sure, np. I will admit to reading the back of the silicone strip box though lol, if the oils don't show much improvement in a month or so I will def use them as back up...especially considering I have another mole being removed pretty soon too :
