DS is now almost 2 weeks old. I had a bit of a rough day emotionally yesterday, arguing with DH about stupid things and basically just getting upset about not being able to go outside and enjoy the weather, be more mobile, etc. Anyway, I noticed that at the peak of my little fit, as I was bawling sitting on the couch I started bleeding quite a bit. I'm wondering if this can be caused by emotional distress or whether the very short walk I went for in the morning was really too much for my recovering self. Does anyone know anything about this or have any experience?

My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

When you were getting mad your heart was beating faster and your blood pressure was probably going up, so that would cause bleeding to speed up.

does that apply even if your bleeding has stopped? it seems to be a bit on and off at this point, and i wasn't bleeding before the blowup.

That happened to me around 8-14 days PP (can't remember exactly when) and my midwife said that it was completely normal - especially since i hadn't bled steadily up to that point. Said it happened to her as well, with her first.
I wouldn't be worried. But do try to take it easy (although I was on bedrest when it happened to me, lol). Nothing like using it as an excuse to stay in bed with baby!
