that i am only 7 wks PP...and to quit criticizing my body. EW> everytime i look in the mirror, i hate it. i know-remember why its that way-and i try , really. but what happened to my awesome ballerina figure? where are my abs? why are my thighs like jello? my DH gets so mad at me, as does everyone, when i say i still have about 10 lbs left to lose. but i dont see myself how others see me. DH finds me so sexy, and cant keep his hands off me, particularly my ass lol. but i hate it. i jiggle. my hips are so much wider now...do they ever go back? ugh-just ha√ing a rough body day i guess.

Stop beating yourself up, take a good long look at your baby and try to remember that you just gave forth life! There is no greater accomplishment on the planet.

Taking some me-time to get back into exercising really helped my self-esteem after giving birth. Your hips may go back, but no guarantees.

Everything for the most part goes back, but it just takes time (at least a few months). Give your body a break - pregnancy and birth is not easy! Enjoy your baby, and before you know it, your body will start to feel more familiar.

I know EXACTLY how you are feeling Dancinmommy! I thought I would have a beautiful basketball underneath my skin and my body has totally reacted differently! I used to be thin . . . now I am wide and lumpy! I know there is a little miracle in my body. . but it's been harder than I thougt to accept the changes. I have purchased cute new clothes and get I pedicures to make myself feel better. I have also told my husband to step up with more verbal affirmations of how pretty I am - this helps alot. As my belly grows a bit more, I feel a bit better because there's something more visible rather than a flabby belly and thicker thighs!

If it helps this pregnancy I have kept a much better figure than the last one. Although I totally feel you on the bad body image right afterward. The baller ina figure will return, although you MIGHT be a LITTLE more hippy for the long term... but if DH loves it, then I say go with it! Shake that thang!
