Fisher Price Little People Videos....What Do You Think?

First off, let me preface this by saying we are into *very* little TV for DS (he is 2).

I know there are people on here who do absolutely no tv at all and I admire them, but I do allow my son to watch a video here and there (and it's something I feel a little sensitive about since I thought he would *never* watch TV, but sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do...).

Anyway, he has one of the Little People videos and LOVES IT!!

The thing is, I can't find them anywhere unless I buy the toy (the one he has came w/ a toy). Hmmmm, it's odd. Anyway, does anyone else's child like these?

we don't have regular tv, but do let our kids watch videos now and then. my sons *love* the little people! we have one video (that came with a toy) and one dvd (that my b.i.l. bought them..somewhere? i think maybe walmart, but i'm not certain) i like them because they are laid back, non violent, and give a good message about friendship.

i will admit that the theme song gets a little annoying after awhile....(why do they have to replay it at the beginning of each section!? ok, i know because they slip in each little people's name and what their about, but still! it drives me nuts!)

I have seen lots of these videos at Big Lots, if there is one in your area. They're usually on VHS though.

They have a few DVDs on Netflix! My DD likes them, but I can't stand that song!

My son really liked the videos too (havne't watched them in a while). All of ours came with the toys.

The theme song is sung by Aaron Nevile - I sort of like it...

My dc love them. We have found all 3 of ours at consignment sales though. I guess we haven't watched it often enough to have the theme song annoy me yet! Plus, dh makes up his own version of the song.

We used to have some when DS was into little people 3 years ago. He loved it but I admit that it was a bit too cheesy for me. DH used to do running commentary on what the characters were "really" saying. It was funny!

DD never got into little people so they've "disappeared" over the years!

We have a Little People video that came with a little people toy. They never played with the toys, though, and only watched the video a few times. The theme song makes me want to cry. Seriously,it does.

Hmm...dare I ask the lyrics?

Are all the theme songs sung by Aaron Neville? Ours one DVD is and I don't mind it. It does repeat the theme song over and over though.

I found it kind of disturbing that the one kid obviously needed treated for depression.

I haven't seem them either, but I remember she was "sometimes blue"--- but that actually meant that NOTHING could make her happy and she was just depressed.
