i think i'm in labor!

dare i say it? but seriously, contractions started at about 7 (4.5 hours ago my time) at about 5-7 minutes apart. now they're anywhere from 3-5 and getting longer (around a minute). i think i'm going to have my doula come over soon...i want to labor at home as long as possible.

i tried to take a nap per her advice but the contrax were too painful. so i think i will just chill and listen to some music. DH fell right asleep, though

okay by me--i can just sort of do my thing till it gets more serious.

Awesome!! Congrats!!

One of the most helpful things my MW told me during my 2nd labor was that laying down and resting - even if you couldn't sleep - just resting your mind and your body - will help recharge you and give you the energy you need for the labor. I ended up sleeping for two nights, waking every 7-10 minutes, but then had what I needed to get through another full day and night to give birth!

I highly recommend getting the rest while you can, but I hope for your sake that the baby is almost here by now! Blessings on your birth, mama!

Good luck! Reminds me of how my own labor started, and about the same number of days after my due date, too.
