Neonatal Resuscitation with Nell Tharpe?

Has anyone taken her classes? My preceptor to be wants me to take a neonatal resuscitation class before I start apprenticing. She is going to this one in Maine in June and thought I should go with her. I was just wondering what your experience was like and if she was a good instructor. Thanks in advance!

I don't know about her NRP classes, but I've heard rave reviews of her first assist seminars...

Hi fiddlinmama,

I've taken a recert with her [2004] at Ballard House and it was great! After we took tests we did "scenarios" with her for an hour. She just set us up, verbally, with one after another with a doll and a pelvis. It was a great bonus to the regular recert material.

Lisa, is it only a recert class or does it count for a primary class/certification also? Thank you for sharing your experience!

mixed class

It was a mixed class. There were some women recertifying [it was my fourth]and some were brand new.

Thanks! I talked to Nell and she said that she would be willing to do my primary cert if I did some prep work first. I hope my preceptor will be willing to do the prep with me so that I can take the course. This is so exciting! :
